25 weeks, a huge milestone!!

YAY 25 weeks!!!

We’re 25 weeks!!!! YAY!!! Although I once said that “when I hit 25wks I’ll breath easier”, I knew that such thing wouldn’t be true.

Of course I can breath a little easier but I’m still concerned. I’ve set my next milestone at 32weeks. Why?  I have no idea. Maybe I read it somewhere or someone told me. Regardless, that’s what is next in my mind. I must reach 32 weeks!!!

I believe that my belly has just extended itself overnight. I’m not kidding you, I just woke up one day and realized how huge my belly has gotten. I can’t believe it. I’m not complaining, I LOVE it but I’m just amazed. The stretch marks are still growing and building up, I’m plastering myself with lotion and hoping that it doesn’t get worse. The other bothersome part are my boobs. OMG do they itch. It’s incredible.
You know that feeling when you get a hair cut and the little hairs are around your neck and it itches oh so much? Imagine that inside your shirt x 10! Yep, it’s terrible. But lotion here I come!

As for the baby shower front. I’m not even sure what to say. We’ve sent out the invitations for the baby shower in LA and we’re waiting to see who’s going to respond. I’m hoping to see a lot of my old friends, I miss them oh so much. I know how tight things are for everyone right now and I understand people choosing not to come but it’s really not about the gifts or anything like that, it’s about the celebration and getting together for me.

As for the baby shower here at work, well, they kept changing the dates on us plenty of times. There was always a talk about July and we were ok with that, but then this week everything changed. They decided to do it in June. We’ll have 2 baby shower one week apart from each other.

Starting in mid June we’re going to be pretty busy. I don’t mind at all. I’m actually looking forward to it.

We’re starting our childbirth classes at the end of June. It’s a 7 weeks course and I’m looking forward to meeting other pregnant couples. We also signed up for breastfeeding classes, a newborn class and a newborn CPR class. Tom and I are already certified for first aid/CPR/Defibrillator but I don’t think I have any clue on how to perform CPR on a tiny baby or child. I would be scared out of my mind.

So I’m hopping that the months of June and July are just going to fly by and that when I least expect it will be August. We’re really only busy the first week of August then there’s nothing on the schedule. It will probably be the longest month ever. LOL

Tom has been such a wonderful, amazing person (as he always is). Yesterday he decided to try again and put some of our extra stuff on craigslist and thank God he sold 3 out of the 4 items he placed there. All on the same day. I’m so excited. It’s not only the money factor, of course that helps, but clearing out space on our garage is so exciting.

We were planning on having our aggregate flooring (which we have throughout the entire house) professionally cleaned and resealed but we had NO IDEA how much money it was going to cost us. Evidently they charge .85c per square foot to clean it and then another .90c per square foot to reseal it.  This is a very touchy subject because we know for a fact that it needs to get done we just don’t have the means to do that right now.
It’s very, very frustrating. We’re still looking into our options and looking at different ways we can pay for this. It’s just so frustrating. Ok done venting about this.

Here’s a picture of my growing belly at 25 weeks!!! YAY!!!! I’m 25 wks, I still can’t believe it.

I’m LOVING feeling him kick and move around like crazy, it’s the most amazing feeling ever. I LOVE IT. I have to one of these days record my belly jumping up and down. It’s awesome.

Nursery Progess!!!

Alright, so we’re making progress with Patryck’s nursery.

Although one might think that we’re done, there are still a couple of little things that we have to do in order to be completely finished.

Probably nothing that will be that noticeable but it’s noticeable to me!

Here are some before and after pictures.

24 Weeks!!! Kick baby Kick!!

24 weeks!!!

We’ve reached 24 weeks and I couldn’t be more excited. We’re now able to feel him so much more. It’s amazing. Just this past weekend, I was laying in bed and I thought I saw my belly jump. I stopped what I was doing to pay attention. When I realized how much it was jumping I yelled calling Tom to come over to watch.

Tom sat there watching my belly more in disbelief. He could see it too. Then Tom placed his cheeks on my belly and felt Patryck kick him plenty of times. YAY!!!!

I’ve been dying to see that look on Tom’s face…….you know the look, the one that says “ OMG my son just kicked me” look. Sure enough, there it was, I saw it!!! His expression said everything. Absolutely amazing!

We’ve been working on the nursery and it’s still not complete.  Yesterday we put up our wall decals and let me tell you, it was a very tedious, long process.  Note to self, do not buy anything that has hundreds of tree branches.  It took us a long time to put that up, but I have to say that it looks absolutely AMAZING!!!!

After that Tom worked on the ceiling fan. We got it up, it was working, and then we closed the exposed wires and put the blades and everything. When we tried to turn it on again, it wasn’t working. Some wire must have come loose or something, I’m sure Tom will work on that later on today.  I still want to do a touch up on the furniture; I want to apply a coating of sealant just in case something gets scratched.  I’ll see if I have the energy to do that today.

I promise that I’ll take some pictures and post it as soon as I think we’re finished or at least close to it.

As for the pregnancy and symptoms. This is what I have (that I can think of right now):

  • Swollen feet
  • Sore back
  • Sore hips
  • Occasional blurry vision
  • Bad allergies
  • Tiredness
  • Headaches (occasionally)
  • Baby kicking way more often
  • Red stretch marks
  • Leg Cramps in the middle of the night (terrible!!)
  • Happy as I can be = Priceless!!!

Ohh I saw my Ob nurse this week and I’ve gained a total of 5Lb this entire pregnancy. My Blood pressure was great (118/72) and urine was clear and the little one’s heart beat was between 150-160s.
I was given a lab scrip for my Glucose Tolerance Test and I should be getting this done between 26-28wks. I already have all of my classes schedule too. Call me a dork but I’m so looking forward to taking those classes.

I’ll see the nice doctor in 4 weeks and I believe that after that I’ll see him every 2 weeks from there on. That just sounds so scary and advanced for me. Yikes!!

23 weeks…nursery and c-ankles. Yikes!

Today we’re 23 weeks. I’m getting closer and closer to a major cross line. I can’t wait to pass the 25 wks mark.

I either got much bigger in the last week or people are just trying to mess with me. First it was my husband’s Endo, I haven’t seen him in a while and he asked me if we were expecting twins. Then one of my co-workers, that I don’t see often, saw a picture of mine on FB and said that I look like I’m almost ready to pop. When I told her that I wasn’t due until September she asked me if I was sure it wasn’t twins.

Seriously?? LOL. I don’t mind it but I just can’t see that. I’m not that big, I know I’m not. The only answer I can give it that I already had some cushion build up prior to the baby, you know, just in case of an emergency he’s well protected in there. LOL

Two days ago, after Tom’s Endo appointment we got home to find that our crib had finally been delivered. Of course we just had to put it all together as soon as possible. There we were sitting in our bedroom floor about to put this crib together. I sat on my legs and felt uncomfortable, when I looked down I realized that my ankles were SO swollen.  OMG I have cankles, could this be????????? Isn’t this too early? I guess not because I have it.

Then later on that same day, I was sitting on the couch and had my legs propped up on the coffee table and my little dog (ok so he’s about 14Lb) was standing on top of my legs. When he came off of it, I looked down at my shin and I had this deep mark of my dog’s paw on it. I couldn’t believe it. I showed it to Tom and he kind of freaked out a little bit. We consulted our friend “google” and according to our search and it seems to be normal, specially at the end of the day.

Anyhow, we did put Patryck’s crib together. I just LOVE it, it looks so pretty. We wanted to put the rest of the furniture in the room but Tom still had to do some touch up on the paint of the room. Tom was on it yesterday and he got it all done.

Getting the crib out of the box

We’re still waiting on the wall and furniture decals too. I ordered them not too long ago but I think we should be getting them soon too.

Hubby reading the instructions while I take a little break.

We’re planning on deep cleaning our floors today and maybe putting the rest of the furniture in there.

Here it is. Isn't it just beautiful!?

I can’t wait to see how everything will look like. I have to say that it’s still surreal to walk into our room and see a crib there.  It’s hard to imagine that I’ll have a little one sleeping in there soon. OMG I just can’t believe it.

22 Weeks and Mother’s day!!

Smilling because I can feel baby moving!

We’re 22 weeks and I’m super excited. Everything is exciting and new and I’m letting myself go and trying not to worry all the time.

Here are a couple of pics of me at 22 wks. Believe it or not I had no idea that my belly was this big. I’m not kidding you, it wasn’t until I saw some pics from when I was 13 wks that I realized how much I’ve grown.

Growing belly at 22 wks.

Feeling the little one moving around is just amazing, I’m still waiting for Tom to be able to feel him too.

As far as symptoms and all, I’ve been feeling a little tired now and then and I realized that I get some swelling on my feet now and then. It’s not bad but I can notice it.

Tom and I have been talking about the nursery and everything that we have to buy. We decided that instead of purchasing a glider from the baby store for $300 that we would try and find a recliner at a furniture store that we can use later on for the same price.

We’ve been looking and we finally found it. It’s an amazing mother’s day gift and we already have it at home. It’ super comfy. The only problem now is that we’ll have to re-think about Patryck’s room and how all this furniture is going to fit there. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Our new recliner. Love it!!

I’m still waiting for my crib to arrive. Once it get’s here we’ll get the room set up and go from there.

Ohh my mom is planning a baby shower for me in June and it’s very exciting. Although we live in Fresno, we lived most of our lives in LA and we have tons of friends and family there. So, it is more than appropriate to have a shower there too. My mom is getting all of that set up for us. I can’t wait.

That’s it for now. I better get some dinner ready.

Will post more later.
